Five-star hotel fitted with Estillon underlay

On the site of the former Emma Children’s Hospital on Sarphatistraat in Amsterdam city centre, the international five-star Hyatt Regency Spinoza Hotel is being realised. Part of the nineteenth-century façades of the old hospital have been integrated into the design of the new building, which stands out through its use of glazed ceramic tiles and striking windows. Estillon prides itself on the delivery of the carpet underlay for this sustainable hotel, which has been constructed in complete compliance with BREEAM Excellent standards.

Future hotel guests will be able to enjoy 211 rooms, of which 15 are suites, conference facilities, a ballroom, bar & lounge, restaurant, indoor garden, gym & spa and the Hyatt Regency Club. The underground floor will house a car park with a capacity of about 38 parking spaces and the so-called back-of-house facilities. With the fitting of the Elegance Black underlay, manufactured from 100% recycled polyurethane, the hotel is assured of a maximum of comfort and a feeling of luxury for its guests, while extending the effective lifespan of the carpet and reducing wear and tear. Elegance Black also reduces impact noise by approximately 25 dB and therefore provides a significant positive contribution towards the acoustic comfort of the hotel guests.
